Meridel Gatterman

is an educational consultant who has worked on curriculum development in the chiropractic profession for 35 years. She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in Health and Physical Education, a Doctor of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College and a Masters Degree in Higher Education for Health Professionals from the University of Toronto. She has worked on curriculum development as: Director of the Department of Chiropractic Science at Western States Chiropractic College, Director of the Division of Chiropractic Science at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Researcher at New York Chiropractic College and Dean of Chiropractic and Clinical Science at Western States Chiropractic College. She has completed a visiting Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. She has pioneered Problem Based Learning at 4 chiropractic colleges including Colorado Chiropractic College.

Dr Gatterman has published six chiropractic textbooks including: Foundations of Chiropractic: Subluxation, and Whiplash: A Patient Centered Approach to Management. She has also authored a number of chapters in other chiropractic textbooks. She has published multiple articles in professional journals and is on the editorial board of the Chiropractic of Australia.
